At the end of runway 15/33, an area of 1.5 acres was constantly saturated with water. Since 1999, it was chronically wet, and it was only possible to mow the grass a few times during late summer. It was also impossible to install required underground cable.
On February 26, 2012, Parjana® Distribution installed the EGRP® on this test site. By May 12, 2012, the EGRP® started to activate. By the end of May, there was no visible standing water.
Since May 2012, no water has accumulated. Consequently, birds are no longer attracted to this zone and the presence of other wildlife has reduced, all of which pose a threat to airplanes as they takeoff and land. PDF Version Here!
